Junior High National Team Tryout Dates | 12U, 13U & 14U
Our first tryout will be held Saturday, November 14, from 4:30–6:00 PM, with an additional tryout scheduled for Saturday, December 5, from 3:00–4:30 PM, if roster positions remain available.
We understand that many local clubs hold tryouts around the same time, and families are often navigating multiple schedules and opportunities. In previous seasons, we've received additional interest from athletes following the initial tryout period, so we've built a second evaluation date into our schedule to provide families with greater flexibility.
We encourage athletes interested in joining Illinois Select to attend our November 14 tryout, as roster positions may be limited or filled before the December date.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TRYOUTS?

National Team offers are scheduled to be sent.
Athletes receiving an offer will have 24 hours to accept their position.
Once an athlete accepts her position, a $200 deposit must be received within 48 hours to secure her roster spot.

Our Junior High National Teams are designed for athletes who are ready to take their game to the next level through high-quality training, competitive tournament play, and a greater commitment to their development.
At Illinois Select Volleyball Club, we believe that more isn't always better. More athletes on a roster doesn't necessarily mean more development, and more travel doesn't automatically mean better competition.
Instead, we focus on what matters most: small rosters, quality repetitions, meaningful playing time, and intentional coaching.
Our goal is to develop confident, skilled athletes while creating a positive and competitive club experience for the entire family.

Our National Teams represent the highest level of competitive training at Illinois Select Volleyball Club. These teams are led by our most experienced and accomplished coaches, who bring advanced playing experience, technical knowledge, and a deep understanding of athlete development.
While all Illinois Select programs emphasize strong fundamentals and quality instruction, our National Teams offer an elevated level of coaching, training intensity, and competitive preparation. Athletes receive more advanced technical instruction, position-specific development, and training designed to prepare them for higher levels of competition.
The difference isn't just where our National Teams compete. It's the level of coaching, training, and development they receive throughout the season.
Competitive Tournaments Without Unnecessary Travel
We work closely with tournament directors to identify strong competitive opportunities throughout Central Illinois.
Our goal is to enter tournaments where our athletes will be challenged by quality opponents without requiring families to travel long distances unnecessarily.
Especially at the junior high level, we believe athletes should be able to compete at a high level while still having time for school, family, and other commitments.
Long-Term Athlete Development
We value building lasting relationships with our athletes and families. Our national teams provide an opportunity for athletes to continue developing within the Illinois Select coaching philosophy as they progress toward high school volleyball.

12U, 13U, and 14U National Teams
Final team offerings and roster placements will be determined based on athlete evaluations and enrollment.
2027 National Team Season Dates
Our Junior High National Team season will begin in mid-March 2027 and run through June 8, 2027, concluding with the ASICS Junior National Volleyball Championships at Navy Pier in Chicago.
Teams will practice 2–3 times per week throughout the season, with a focus on advanced skill development, position-specific training, and preparation for competitive tournament play.
Exact practice schedules and the official season start date will be announced once team rosters are finalized.
Practice Commitment
2-3 practices per week
Two-hour practice sessions
Additional training opportunities as scheduled
Final practice schedules will be communicated once teams are formed.
Tournament Competition
Our national teams will compete in approximately four regional tournaments, followed by our season-ending national tournament in Chicago.
We prioritize competitive tournament placement, quality opponents, and reasonable travel whenever possible.
2027 ASICS Junior National Volleyball Championships
June 7–8, 2027
Navy Pier | Chicago, Illinois
Our national teams will conclude their season at the ASICS Junior National Volleyball Championships, an exciting opportunity to compete against teams from outside our region in a national tournament environment.
The final regional tournament schedule will be announced once tournament entries are confirmed.

$1,350 Per Athlete — All Inclusive
We believe families should understand the full financial commitment before registering.
Your $1,350 season fee includes:
All scheduled team practices and coaching
Regional tournament entry fees
ASICS Junior Nationals tournament entry fee
Complete uniform package
Coaches' travel expenses for Junior Nationals
No additional uniform fees or coaches' travel assessments.
Families are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, meals, and personal travel expenses when applicable.

We offer two payment options to help families plan for the season.
Option 1: Pay in Full
$1,350
Pay the entire season fee at registration.
Option 2: Payment Plan VIA VENMO
$200 Initial Deposit + Four Monthly Payments of $287.50
December 1, 2026: $200 deposit
January 1, 2027: $287.50
February 1, 2027: $287.50
March 1, 2027: $287.50
April 1, 2027: $287.50
Total: $1,350
The initial deposit secures your athlete's accepted roster position and is applied toward the total season fee.
Accepted Payment Methods
Families are encouraged to pay by check or Venmo to avoid card-processing surcharges.
Credit-card payments may be subject to an additional processing surcharge, disclosed before payment and limited to the amount permitted by applicable payment-network rules.

All club fees are nonrefundable, subject to applicable law and the terms of the registration agreement.
